Luly Yang Bridal is a luxury bridal fashion brand known for its elegant and romantic custom gowns and suits.

I enhanced the user experience of a potential bridal client by creating an intuitive and visually appealing website that showcases Luly Yang Bridal's collections, providing easy navigation, and clear product information. All of that in addition to a new appointment and consultation page ensures a seamless and tailored experience throughout their wedding dress selection process..

Problem

Luly Yang Couture’s landing page had too much information on it with no clear call to action.

This increased cognitive load made the site hard to navigate, with increased bounce rates and low pages per session.

Featuring the uniform services and diffusion line next to bridal and couture services takes emphasis away from the high-end, luxury experience that Luly Yang Bridal delivers.

With the multi-brand site put in place, where the uniform business had their own portfolio, the diffusion line had improved navigation through the shopping pages, the bridal couture site was in need of a makeover, to bring the intent back to showcasing luxury designs and encouraging users to book a consultation.

The collection pages needed additional filtering functionalities, more guidance, and clear calls to action.

 GOALS
We needed to elevate the visual identity and optimize user experience for Luly Yang Bridal clients, encouraging users to schedule a consultation.
Discovery
To begin, I spoke with the stylists at the Luly Yang Bridal boutique to discover specific customer-reported pain points. Customers often call the boutique or come into their consultation unclear of what services Luly Yang Bridal offers and how the design process works.

I then researched and analyzed around 20 different couture bridal designers’ websites. The intention was to see how different design studios set up their page navigation, showcased their collections, and displayed their call-to-action, scheduling an appointment.

SOLUTION
Luly Yang Couture needed a new collection and product detail pages with clear product information and calls to action.
Wireframes
The new Luly Yang Bridal landing page starts with a captivating header that showcases relevant collections.

Next, featured collections are highlighted for users to explore and find custom design inspiration. A call to action hero reminds potential clients that a consultation is just a few clicks away.

Lastly, users can explore couture accessories to complete their looks and see #lulybrides and explore awards the shop has won, increasing brand trust.

I redesigned the Bridal Collection Page so that it’s easier for the user to take in each style and design. You can either discover looks by or explore gowns by style. Clicking on a gown brings you to a Product Detail Page, where you can learn more about the details and treatments to take design inspiration from.
Web Design
Luly Yang Couture already had a logo, font, and brand guidelines.  The site’s direction was meant to be an elegant showcase of the brand’s designs, similar to a museum. I went with a minimal design inspired by parts of the pre-existing site, but gave it a refresh and made sure it could stand against industry competitors.

I designed with the following three priorities in mind:

1. LYC provides a luxury service, and the visual identity should reflect as such.
2. Users are meant to take inspiration from, reference, or customize LYC existing gown designs.
3. The site is meant to convert users to schedule a consultation
